In 2016 we will expand the vegetable rootstock efforts and introduce a program for Melons. We believe our development approach can improve productivity and reduce farmers’ risks in a meaningful way. Preliminary results show great promise.
We have calibrated our selection system for Sunflowers, reaching very high correlation between system and field results. A second interesting field crop we have identified is sugar beet. The world’s demand for

sugar is ever increasing, both for food and for fuels. Worldwide 250 million tons of Sugar beets are grown. Sugar beet is sensitive to salinity at an early growing phase, and we have shown we can help overcome such limitations. This program will be initiated in 2017.
